On-Demand Examination System - Registration

Secondary and Sr. Secondary Level

Due to Public Examination, On Demand Examination will not be conducted during April-May and October-November.

Note : The On Demand Examination for Secondary Course is based upon the New Syllabus.

Operating Procedure for Registration for Examination under On Demand Examination System - Only for Existing Learners.

For Students - Procedure for registration

  1. Visit www.nios.ac.in (NIOS WebSite) and under On-Demand Examination Click upon the Registration for Examination only for existing learners (at the bottom).
  2. Give your Enrolment Number and click the Submit button (The registration is valid only for those students who have already taken admission)
  3. After that the Registration form will appear where you have to Register for the Examination. Here you have the choice of Selecting your Exam Centre (the choice of Examination Centre can be your concerned Regional Centre or at the HQ NOIDA). You can register only for those subjects for which you have taken admission.
  4. After submitting the Form you have to make the payment and for payment the options are i) Through Bank Draft or ii) through Credit card.
  5. If the Payment is made through Credit card then the acknowledgement receipt will be treated as the Hall Ticket and student can enter into the Examination Hall with this Hall Ticket along with the I card as well as the extra identity proof given at the time of Registration.

Respective Regional Centre Bank Draft should be in favour of "Secretary, NIOS" payable at the concerned Regional Centre Regional Director Concerned Regional Centre Filled in Application form should reach to the concerned Regional Centre Within 5 days from the date of Registration Theory: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Regional Centre
Practical: Friday or Saturday at NIOS AI (study centre) or at another reputed school.Timing as announced on the day of Theory paper
HQ Noida Bank Draft should be in favour of "Secretary, NIOS" payable at NOIDA Asstt.Director
ODE Unit
A-31, Sector-62 NOIDA		 Filled in Application form should reach to the ODE UNIT at A 31 Sec 62 NOIDA Within 5 days from the date of Registration Theory: Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and Friday
2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Regional Centre
Practical: Friday or Saturday at NIOS AI (study centre) or at another reputed school.Timing as announced on the day of Theory paper

Note :

  1. Please write your Enrolment Number at the back of the Demand Draft.
  2. If the application not reaches within 5 days then the registration for Examination will be cancelled and the Examination Fees will be forfeited.

Fee Structure of Registration for Examination under On Demand Examination:

For Secondary and Sr.Secondary
(Rs. 250/- per subject + Rs. 100/- for subject involving practical.)

Subjects available for On Demand Examination

  • Secondary : Hindi (201), English (202), Sanskrit (209), Mathematics (211), Science & Technology (212), Social Science (213), Economics 214), Business studies (215), Home Science (216), Word Processing (219), Psychology (222), Indian Culture & Heritage (223), Painting (225).
  • Sr. Seconadry : Hindi (301), English (302), Sanskrit (309), Mathematics (311), Physics (312), Chemistry (313), Biology (314),History (315), Geography (316), Political Sc.(317), Economics (318), Business Studies (319), Accountancy (320), Home Science (321), Psychology (328), Sociology (331), Painting (332) and Environmental Science (333).
  • Medium of Question Paper : The Question Paper will be in English and Hindi Medium Only, However the Regional Medium Candidates want to appear through the On Demand Examination will have a choice of Answering the Question Paper in the respective Regional Medium and no Regional Medium Question Paper will be provided in On Demand Examination.

Very Important note

  1. Question Paper of the ODES Sr. Secondary and Secondary is based on the Question Bank of new syllabus only.
