National Institute of Open
Schooling (NIOS) has been awarded Web Ratna Awards 2014 Silver Icon
under category of Citizen Centric Service instituted by Department
of Electronics and IT (DeitY), Ministry of Communications & IT
(MC&IT) and National Informatic Centre (NIC), Government of
India. The award is given to acknowledge exemplary
initiatives/practices in the realm of e-Governance for
dissemination of information & services and Honouring
Excellence in e-Governance initiative through Web
Hon'ble Minister of Communications
